What are the common electrical faults and solutions for motor motor rotor automatic core punching machine?

一、 Common electrical faults

1. Motor does not start

Reason: power supply is not connected, overload protector tripped, control circuit failure.

Solution: Check whether the power supply is normal, reset the overload protector, and check whether the wiring and components of the control circuit are normal.


2. Motor rattling

Cause: Worn bearings, small clearance between rotor and stator, improper installation.

Solution: Check the internal parts of the motor, replace the bearings if necessary, and adjust the clearance between the rotor and stator.

3. Motor overheating

Cause: Overload, poor ventilation, high ambient temperature.

Solution: Check whether the load exceeds the rated value of the motor, make sure the motor is well ventilated, and improve the ambient temperature if necessary.


4. Abnormal current

Cause: Short circuit, ground fault, phase imbalance.

Solution: Check whether the motor winding is short-circuited or grounded, measure the phase current, and make sure that the phase current is balanced.


5. Control system failure

Cause: sensor failure, PLC program error, signal interference.

Solution: Check whether the sensor is working properly, debug the PLC program, remove the source of signal interference.


6. Starting difficulties

Reason: insufficient voltage, excessive starting current, mechanical jamming.

7. Frequent tripping

Reason: current overload, short circuit, equipment aging.

三、Case

When using automatic core punching machine for core punching, a factory often encounters the situation that the machine suddenly stops working, which seriously affects the production efficiency and product quality. The technicians of the factory inspected the machine several times, but they were never able to determine the cause of the malfunction. In a video communication, we found that the problem lies in the servo motor of the core punching machine.

During the video call, how to safely disassemble the fan, clean the dust, and check the motor's cooling system.
