How to troubleshoot and analyze the motor motor rotor automatic air blower?

1. Failure analysis steps

l Collect information

Observe the fault phenomenon: Carefully observe the performance of the equipment when the fault occurs, including whether the wind blade rotates, whether the direction of rotation is correct, whether the rotation speed is normal, whether there is any abnormal sound or vibration, and whether the motor is hot and smoking. For example, if the wind blade does not turn, you need to pay attention to whether the motor has a buzzing sound, which may suggest that the motor is energized but can not be started.

Understand the history of the equipment: Ask the operator about the operation of the equipment before the failure, such as whether there is overload operation, frequent start or stop, and whether there has been recent maintenance or replacement of parts and other operations. At the same time, check the maintenance records of the equipment to understand the information such as the operating hours of the equipment, the last maintenance time and the content of the maintenance.

l Preliminary judgment of the fault area

Electrical system: If the motor does not respond at all, it may be a power problem, such as a blown fuse, damaged power switch, broken wire or short-circuited motor winding. If the motor has running sound but the wind blade does not turn, it may be the transmission parts between the motor and the wind blade (e.g. coupling, belt) are faulty.

Mechanical system: Abnormal vibration and noise are usually related to mechanical components, which may be caused by unbalanced wind blades, damaged bearings, bent shafts or loose mechanical connections. In addition, abnormal rotation speed of the wind blades may be caused by load change, motor performance degradation or transmission efficiency reduction.

l Detailed inspection of fault points

Electrical inspection: Use a multimeter to check whether the power supply voltage is normal or not, and check whether the resistance value of the motor winding is within the normal range to determine whether the winding is short-circuited or disconnected. For the equipment with control circuit, check whether the input and output signals of the controller are normal, such as checking whether the signals of temperature sensor, speed sensor, etc. can be fed back to the controller correctly, and whether the control signals issued by the controller can reach the motor normally.

Mechanical inspection: check whether the wind blade is damaged, deformed or attached to foreign objects, manually rotate the wind blade, feel whether the rotation is smooth, there is no sense of stagnation. Check the bearings to see if there is any wear and tear, overheating and discoloration, grease leakage and so on. Check the transmission components, such as the belt tension is appropriate, whether there is wear and tear slippery phenomenon, the coupling connection is firm, whether there is damage, etc..

2、Common troubleshooting methods

l Motor does not start troubleshooting

Power supply problem: Check whether the fuse is blown, if so, replace the fuse with the same specification and check whether there is a short circuit. Check whether the power switch is working normally, use a multimeter to measure the on/off status of the switch, and replace it if it is damaged.

Motor winding failure: If the motor winding is short-circuited or broken, the motor needs to be repaired or replaced. For small motors, if the winding is partially short-circuited, you can try to rewind the wire to repair; for large motors or serious damage to the winding, it is usually recommended to replace the motor.

Control circuit failure: Check whether the relay and contactor in the control circuit are working properly, and see whether their contacts are ablated, sticking and so on. Check the power supply and signal transmission lines of the controller to ensure that the signal can be properly transmitted to the motor. If it is an internal fault of the controller, it may need professional personnel to repair or replace the controller.

l wind blade abnormal vibration troubleshooting

Unbalanced wind blades: Disassemble the wind blades and use professional balancing equipment to carry out balancing tests and corrections. If there is no balancing equipment, simple balancing adjustment can be made by sticking the counterweight block on the lighter side, but this method needs repeated testing and adjustment.

Damaged bearings: Replace damaged bearings. When replacing the bearings, pay attention to selecting the bearings that match the motor model and follow the correct methods during installation, such as installing the bearings with the proper tools to avoid damaging the bearings and the motor shaft.

Loose mechanical connection: Check whether the connecting bolts between the wind blade, motor and transmission parts are loose, if they are loose, use a wrench to tighten them to the specified torque. At the same time, check whether the connection key of the coupling is loose or damaged, if there is any problem, replace the connection key.

l Troubleshooting abnormal speed

Electrical causes: Check whether the power supply voltage of the motor is stable, if the voltage is too low, it may cause the motor speed to drop. Check whether there is a short circuit between the turns of the motor's windings, which will weaken the motor's magnetic field, thus reducing the speed. For speed-regulated motors, check whether the speed-regulating device is working properly, such as whether the potentiometer of the speed regulator is damaged and whether the speed-regulating circuit is faulty.

Mechanical reasons: check the transmission efficiency of the transmission components. If it is a belt drive, check whether the belt is slipping, which can be solved by adjusting the belt tension. For coupling transmission, check whether the coupling is loose, wear and tear, etc. If there is any problem, repair or replace it in time. In addition, check whether the wind blade has overload conditions, such as air duct blockage, load resistance is too large, clear away the obstacles in the air duct, reduce load resistance, so that the wind blade to return to normal speed.
