What are the common electrical failures and solutions for motor automatic rotor spot welding test machine?


Motor automatic rotor spot welding test machine common electrical faults and solutions are as follows:


1, power failure


Failure phenomenon: the device can not be turned on, no display, or power on the power indicator does not light.


Cause analysis: the power cord may not be plugged, power switch damage, blown fuse, power module failure.


Solution: First check whether the power cord is firmly connected, try to re-plug. If the power cord is normal, check whether the power switch can be normal conduction, if damaged, replace the switch. Then check whether the fuse is blown, if blown, need to replace the same specification fuse. If all of the above are normal, may be a power module failure, the need for professionals to use a multimeter and other tools to detect the output voltage of the power module is normal, if abnormal, then replace the power module.


2, abnormal welding current


Failure phenomenon: welding current is not stable, large and small, or the current does not reach the set value, resulting in poor welding quality.


Cause analysis: may be welding transformer failure, thyristor damage, current sensor failure, control circuit failure.


Solution: Use professional instruments to test the welding transformer winding resistance and insulation performance, if there is anomaly, repair or replace the transformer. Check the on and off characteristics of the thyristor, if damaged, replace it in time. For the current sensor, can be detected by its output signal and the actual current to determine whether the fault, if the fault is to replace the sensor. Control circuit failure is more complex, need to check the relevant control chip, capacitors, resistors and other components, if damaged need to be replaced, while checking whether the control program is normal, if necessary, the program can be updated or repaired.

3, motor drive failure


Failure phenomenon: the motor does not turn, the rotation is not smooth, there is abnormal noise, or the motor running speed does not match the set value.


Cause analysis: may be a motor drive failure, motor winding short circuit or broken circuit, encoder failure, mechanical transmission components stalled.


Solution: Check whether the power supply of the motor driver is normal and whether the output signal is correct. If the driver is faulty, try to restart the driver or reset the operation, if still can not be solved then need to replace the driver. Use a multimeter to detect the resistance value of the motor winding to determine whether there is a short circuit or broken circuit, if there is a problem, then repair or replace the motor. Check whether the connection of the encoder is loose, and whether the encoder's working condition is normal, and replace the encoder if it is faulty. For mechanical transmission components, check whether there are foreign objects stuck, whether the lubrication is good, if there are problems, then clean up foreign objects and add lubricant.


4、Sensor failure


Failure phenomenon: During the operation of the equipment, the position detection is inaccurate, material detection failure, resulting in abnormal equipment action.


Cause analysis: may be damaged sensors, sensors installed in the wrong location, sensor signal line contact is poor.


Solution: Check whether the appearance of the sensor is damaged, if damaged, replace the sensor. For the improper installation position of the sensor, readjust its position to ensure that it can accurately detect the target object. Check whether the sensor signal line connection is firm, if loose then reconnect, if the signal line is broken then repair or replacement.


5、Control circuit failure


Failure phenomenon: the various actions of the equipment can not be carried out in accordance with the preset program, such as the movement of the axes are not coordinated, welding time and sequence errors.


Cause analysis: may be damaged components on the control circuit board, program errors, poor wiring connections and so on.


Solution: Use professional tools to detect the chips, capacitors, resistors and other components on the control circuit board, and replace them if damaged. Check whether there is any error or loophole in the program, you can try to re-download the correct program to the controller. At the same time, carefully check the line connection of the control circuit, make sure that the lines are firmly connected, no broken or short-circuit phenomenon, if there is any problem, then repair or replace the line.
