What are the common mechanical failures and solutions for manual servo presses?


First, the common mechanical failure


1、Slider jamming


Reason: insufficient guide rail lubrication, wear and tear of the guide rail after long-term use, there are foreign objects into the gap between the slider and the guide rail. For example, in some workshops with poor working environment, dust, metal shavings and other impurities are easy to enter the interior of the device, affecting the operation of the slider.


Solution: supplement grease in a timely manner, regularly check the wear and tear of the guide rail, if necessary, replace the guide rail; clean up the foreign matter between the slider and the guide rail, and install protective devices to prevent foreign matter from re-entering.

2、Pressure instability


Reason: aging of the hydraulic system seals lead to oil leakage, so that the system pressure is difficult to maintain stability; pressure sensor failure, unable to accurately feedback pressure signal; mechanical transmission parts wear, such as screw nut vice clearance is too large, the influence of the transmission stability. In the equipment used for many years, the seals will be aging due to long-term erosion of hydraulic oil and mechanical movement friction.


Solution: replace the aging seals, overhaul or replacement of faulty pressure sensors; adjustment or replacement of worn mechanical transmission components.


 

3, mold installation parts loose


Reason: the fastening bolts are not tightened when installing the mold, and the long-term high-frequency vibration makes the bolts loose; there are debris on the installation surface, resulting in the mold installation is not tight. In the frequent replacement of molds in the work scene, if the operator is not strictly in accordance with the installation specifications, it is prone to such problems.


Solution: Retighten the bolts to reach the specified torque value; clean up the mounting surface to ensure that the mold is firmly installed.



Second, other faults and solution ideas


1、Abnormal vibration of the body


Reason: the foundation bolts are loose, the equipment resonates when working; the dynamic balance of the motor or flywheel is destroyed. For example, the equipment is subjected to violent bumps during transportation, which may cause the foundation bolts to loosen.


Solution: Check and tighten the foundation bolts; carry out dynamic balance test and correction for the motor and flywheel.


 

2、Tooth jumping of transmission chain


Reason: the chain is elongated after long-term use and the tension is not adjusted in time; the sprocket is worn and the tooth shape is changed; the chain is poorly lubricated. In some food processing workshop, due to the high humidity, if the chain lacks effective lubrication, it is easier to rust and elongate.


Solution: Adjust the chain tensioning device and replace the chain if necessary; replace the worn sprocket; strengthen the lubrication of the chain and apply special lubricant regularly.
