What are the common control unit failures and solutions for DC motor motor semi-automatic spring brush machines?

The common control unit faults and solutions for DC motor motor semi-automatic spring brush machine are as follows:

1、Controller hardware failure

Chip damage

Failure phenomenon: the control unit is completely out of function, the motor can not start or suddenly stop during operation, the indicator light may also appear abnormal flashing or not light.

Solution: First check whether the power supply is normal, because abnormal power supply may lead to chip damage. If the power supply is normal, the control chip may need to be replaced. This requires professional maintenance personnel to operate with specialized tools, as chip replacement involves delicate operation of the circuit to avoid secondary damage to the chip caused by static electricity and other factors.

Circuit board short circuit or disconnection

Failure phenomenon: the motor runs unstably, there may be intermittent stops or sudden changes in speed. Some functions may not work properly, for example, the automatic control function of the brush fails.

Solution: Check the appearance of the circuit board carefully to see if there are obvious burn marks, solder joints falling off or broken lines. If you find a short-circuit point, you can use insulating tools to isolate the short-circuit part; for the broken circuit problem, you need to re-solder the line or replace the damaged part of the line.

2、Control software failure

Program error or crash

Failure phenomenon: the operating parameters of the motor can not be set correctly, such as speed, brush strength and other parameters set to no avail. The control unit may appear slow response, no response to the operating instructions or repeatedly appear the same error message.

Solution: Try restarting the control unit to see if it returns to normal. If the problem persists, try an update or reinstallation of the control software. This may require contacting the unit manufacturer for a new software version and installation instructions to ensure that the software is compatible with the hardware.

Wrong parameter setting

Fault phenomenon: Abnormal motor operation, such as too high or too low speed, brush cycle does not meet the requirements. It may lead to degradation of the brushing quality, and may even damage the motor or the parts being brushed.

Solution: Check the manual of the device for the correct parameter setting range. Restore the control unit to factory settings and then reset it according to the correct parameters. In the setting process, pay attention to the interrelationship between the parameters, such as speed and brush pressure may need to be based on the material and shape of the parts being brushed to make a reasonable match.

3、Communication failure

Interruption of communication with external devices

Failure phenomenon: unable to receive external control instructions, for example, the remote monitoring system can not operate the motor; or unable to transmit the motor's operating status data to external equipment, such as monitoring system can not get the real-time speed of the motor, temperature and other information.

Solution: Check whether the communication line is connected normally, including whether the data line and signal line are loose or damaged. If wireless communication is used, check whether the signal strength and communication protocol settings are correct. The problem can be solved by reconnecting the communication line, adjusting the antenna position or reconfiguring the communication protocol.

Internal communication failure (between multiple control modules)

Fault phenomenon: The different control functions of the motor cannot work together, for example, the speed control module and the brush pressure control module have lost contact with each other, resulting in the motor not being able to work according to the preset mode.

Solution: Check the internal communication lines and interfaces to ensure that the communication protocols between the various modules are consistent. You can use professional communication test tools to test the internal communication, find out the fault points and repair, such as replacing the damaged communication interface or rewriting the communication protocol code.
